The S&M Elevenz bar is designed for taller riders or those seeking maximum rise and control in their BMX setup.
Made in the USA from straight gauge 4130 chromoly tubing, this bar is built for strength and durability while providing a massive eleven-inch rise.
When S&M first announced this one, everyone thought it was a joke. Me, too!
Well, the bar is no joke.
Actually, they got pretty popular because I’ve already seen loads of them.
With a 30-inch width, the Elevenz bars give riders stability and leverage, making them ideal for those who want a bigger, more comfortable feel on their bike.
The 3° upsweep and 11° backsweep add to the ergonomic design, reducing wrist strain for a more natural riding position.
(The bar is also great if, in general, you have very wide shoulders and long hands.)

1. Design & Build Quality
The S&M Elevenz bar is constructed from 4130 chromoly, ensuring maximum strength.
But because they are this big and made from straight gauge tubing, the Elevenz bar is pretty heavy at 43.5 oz, which is expected.
Moreover, the 3/4″ crossbar with a wide center box section enhances durability, making this bar perfect for any riding.
The extra-tall 11-inch rise is a standout feature, catering to taller riders who want a more upright position for better control and comfort.
Typically, riders well over 6′ will opt for this bar, more like 6’5”, 6’6” or 6’7”.
However, I’ve seen riders taller and shorter who run this handlebar and love it.
Also, thanks to the various color options, there are plenty of options to match this bar with your setup, such as flat black, sour apple, bombay blue, chrome, translucent red, and translucent gold.
2. S&M Elevenz Bar Key Features
- Made in the USA: Quality craftsmanship from the S&M dudes.
- 4130 Chromoly construction: Built for strength and longevity – straight gauge.
- 11” Rise: Ideal for taller riders or those who prefer a (really) high front-end.
- 30” Width: Wide enough for added stability and control. (But feel free to cut it if it feels too wide for you.)
- 3° Upsweep & 11° Backsweep: Designed for comfort and a more natural wrist position.
- Multiple Color Options: Choose from a variety of finishes.
3. How S&M Elevenz Bar Rides
The S&M Elevenz bar provides exceptional control and leverage.
Because it’s so tall, getting into a manual is much easier, even if you have a frame with a longer chainstay.
The high-rise design allows riders to shred in a more comfortable upright position, reducing strain on the lower back and shoulders.
Taller riders especially benefit from this bar, as it offers more room for movement and better bike control.
While the wider 30-inch width may take some adjustment for riders used to narrower bars, many find the extra control worth it.
However, if you’re into technical street riding, I don’t recommend this bar; opt for S&M Perfect 10 bar instead.
At this stage, I also want to mention that it surprises me why there aren’t more 10.5″ rise bars available.
Switching from a 10″ to an 11″ is a massive leap.
4. Real Rider Feedback
- “I’m 6’6” and these bars check all the boxes. Finally, something that fits me!” – Justin E.
- “Switching from my previous 10” bar to this one was a game-changer. If you’re a tall rider, this bar provides fantastic comfort and control.” – Patrick J.
- “These bars offer a comfortable cruising experience while still holding up for tricks. After trimming an inch off each side, they feel even more responsive and tailored to my riding style.” – Raymond C.

Conclusion: Should You Get The S&M Elevenz Bar?
If you’re a tall rider or simply prefer a high-rise bar, the S&M Elevenz bar is an outstanding choice.
Thanks to its 4130 chromoly (straight gauge) construction, it offers unmatched control, superior leverage, and long-term durability.
While it might take time for technical street riders to adjust to the taller setup, those prioritizing comfort and stability will love how this bar feels.
Note: Like I mentioned earlier, if you’re into technical riding, I recommend you stick to a 10″.
Whether you’re cruising, sending big gaps, or just need extra height for a more natural riding position, this bar delivers on all fronts.
Just be prepared for a little extra weight compared to smaller bars. But that’s expected.
Highly recommended for taller riders or anyone wanting more control and comfort in their setup.
This bar can be a superb upgrade even if you ride a 22″, 24″ or 26″ bike or a cruiser.
Yo! 🤘
