After reviewing the entire handlebars market, here are my favorite 10 inch BMX bars that will elevate your riding style.
Do you need a handlebar that has a massive 10-inch rise?
YES and NO.
There are several reasons why a BMX rider would opt for such a massive bar.
First, some like to follow the trends. Nothing wrong with that.
Second, some are taller and a high handlebar helps not ruin your lower back.
Third, it just feels better for some, having a wider and a higher rise bar – more stable, if you will (like myself).
This post covers:
Here they are!

FAQs About 10 Inch BMX Bars
Does a 10 inch bar lower bunnyhops?
Another question that keeps on popping is: “Will a 10 inch rise BMX bar lower my bunnyhops?”
Actually, it won’t.
In fact, it can help you hop even higher. But really, a bunnyhop is more in the technique than anything else.
You don’t need to be all buffed up and have smaller bars to hop higher. You can be skinny with a 10 inch bar and still beat your muscular amigo.
Will a 10 inch BMX bar fit me?
Tip #1: If you are transitioning from a 9.5 inch handlebar, you can first try adding some spacers (if you have space). This way, you can test the height before you make the purchase.
Tip #2: If you are testing a friend’s bike with a 10″ bar, be aware of how many spacers they run and whether they use a top load or a front load stem. (Different stems (and spacers), different feeling.)
What are the tallest BMX bars?
The current tallest BMX bars are S&M’s Elevenz and Shadow Vultus S.G bars. And you can also pick BSD’s High As Hell bar (10.5″) if you’re unsure of going that tall.
Are bigger bars better for BMX?
Yes, a bigger (and wider) bar is better if you’re taller or you like to ride transitions. But from my personal experience, it really depends from person to person how tall they are and what’s their riding style.
What are Chicago bars in BMX?
Chicago bars in BMX are when you ride your bar not in line with your forks but (a lot) more forward. This actually comes handy for 10 inch BMX bars because it gives you more space. Note: Dan Kruk and Charlie Crumlish are a perfect examples of a rider who likes Chicago bars.
