Cult Sect V4 Fork (2025 Review)

cult sect bmx fork review

The Cult Sect IC V4 fork is an updated version, built for riders who demand strength, simplicity, and street-ready performance.

If you want a fork that can handle the abuse of drops, grinds, and nose tricks without flinching, this one’s a serious contender.

But at the same time, if you need something more stable for shredding trails and parks, again, Sect has an offset for you.

Made from 100% post-weld heat-treated 4130 chromoly, this fork is super strong and dependable.

It features investment cast dropouts, a one-piece machined steerer tube, and an integrated bearing race.

Everything you’d want in a solid, clean-looking BMX fork.

Depending on your riding style, you can choose between a steeper 18mm fork offset or a more traditional 28mm.

Cult Sect V4 BMX Fork Review

1. Build Quality & Design

cult sect fork black

The Sect IC V4 fork uses Cult’s classic 4130 chromoly tubing, revised and upgraded for even more strength.

It’s fully heat-treated after welding, which adds serious toughness and longevity.

It’s a fork that can handle all-terrain with ease.

The 5mm thick investment cast dropouts not only look smooth and refined but are also built to handle the kind of abuse that comes with riding pegs.

And yes, they offer plenty of clearance for 2.40” tires.

Moreover, the 162mm long steerer tube includes an integrated bearing race, which makes installation easier and keeps things simple up front.

However, I like forks with 165mm – 170mm steerer tube length because this gives you more freedom to play with the front end height.

You have more space to add spacers, but even 162mm length is pretty solid. And, you can always cut it if it’s too long.

Also, the Sect fork includes an M18 top bolt that tightens with a 6mm Allen key.

It’s a super clean fork both in black and in chrome.

3. How Cult Sect Fork Rides

With the 18mm offset, this fork feels snappy and perfect for nose manuals and tech front-end tricks.

It’s quick to respond and feels super precise up front.

The 28mm offset version tones things down a bit, making it more stable for all-around riding or riders who prefer that classic feel.

Either way, the Sect IC V4 fork rides solid, feels stiff, and handles abuse like a champ.

It’s one of those parts you install and forget – because it just works.

4. Real Rider Feedback

  • Matthew R. (street rider): “I’ve been running the 18mm offset version for a year now. It feels super responsive for nose tricks, and it hasn’t bent or creaked once.”
  • Charles C. (all-around rider): “The dropouts are super clean and strong. I grind a lot and they’re holding up way better than my last fork. But the same time, the 28mm offset feels nice in bowls and at pump tracks.”
  • Emily K. (park rider): “Love how stiff it feels. You can tell it’s heat-treated all the way through. It just feels solid from day one. I ride the 18mm versions and it works like a dream for me.”
  • Paul D. (trail & street rider): “Went with the 28mm offset for a more stable feel. Still offers some responsiveness but more stable for gaps and bigger jumps.”
