This isn’t just a cosmetic update to the old Traveler bag — the Pro version is fully re-engineered for the ultimate performance:

• Retractable handle for easy rolling like your favorite carry-on
• Heavy-duty YKK zippers that won’t blow out mid-trip, which is the worst thing that can happen
• Improved wheels that roll smoother over rough surfaces (I really like that the wheels are also pretty large, so you have to worry about nothing)
• More internal padding for the frame and part protection
• Extra handles to help with awkward lifting
• Reinforced seams, corners, shoulder pads, and strap keepers for long-term durability (if you take care of the bag, you’ll keep using it year after year)
• Interior pockets and a stealth cover to keep things organized and discreet

This is a solid, airline-friendly size that fits modern 20″ freestyle BMX bikes – of course, with some disassembly.

Usually, you’ll remove the wheels, pedals, bars, and maybe the seat (but slamming it might be enough).

I find this packing method the most straightforward:

• Front wheel under the front triangle
• Rear wheel on top of the front frame triangle
• Use a cut bottle or foam over axle ends and dropouts for additional protection

And that’s it, you’re all set and ready to travel with your BMX bike like a champ.

Pro tip: Add some zip ties or even a lock, and you’re golden.

I also stuff it with socks and underwear (even shirts) to fill the empty spaces, which keeps the bike safer. They can also help eliminate the clunking sound and keep your parts from rubbing against each other.

It can happen that your bike and parts damage during travel, so you want to reduce the possibility of stracthces and dents to the absolute minimum.
