Rixin went in a completely different direction with the Aspect 27.5″, and that’s exactly why this bike caught my attention immediately.
Instead of another 29″ wheelie bike, you get a 27.5+ setup with massive 3.0″ tires, front and rear Shimano hydraulic brakes, an aluminum frame, and a high-engagement rear hub.
That already makes the Aspect the most unusual bike in Rixin’s current bike-life lineup.
And I like that.
The huge tires give the bike plenty of grip and stability, while the smaller wheel size compared with a 29er keeps things even more manageable when you start throwing the bike around.
Then you have hydraulic brakes at both ends, which is something you do not usually see on this type of bike.
But all of that also pushes the price up to $899.99.
So the real question is whether the Aspect is genuinely the most interesting Rixin for serious bike-life riding, or whether the District 29″ bike is still the smarter buy.

1. What Makes The Rixin Aspect So Different?
What separates the Aspect from the Rixin Prospect 29″ and District is pretty obvious the second you look at it.
This thing is built around a 27.5+ wheel setup with huge 3.0″ tires.
That alone gives it a completely different personality.
But the tires are only part of it.
My Rixin Aspect 27.5″ Bike Features
- 27.5 x 3.0″ tires: This is the Aspect’s biggest standout feature. The extra tire volume gives you a lot of grip and a planted ride, which suits wheelies, swerves, and general bike-life riding really well.
- 6061 aluminum frame: Rixin keeps the frame lighter than a Hi-Ten setup, which is especially important once you add those massive tires.
- Front AND rear Shimano hydraulic brakes: This is unusual for a bike-life complete. The District only really needs the rear brake for wheelie control, but the Aspect gives you hydraulic braking at both ends, which makes the bike more versatile overall. (However, you can remove the front one if you really don’t need it.)
- High-engagement Theory cassette hub: Just like on the District, quick engagement is useful when you are making small pedal corrections near the balance point.
- Double-wall rims: I definitely want to see stronger rims on a bike with this much tire and this kind of riding in mind. The Aspect gets them from the start.
- Bike-life-specific geometry: Even though the wheel platform is different, Rixin still keeps the Aspect focused on riding on one wheel rather than turning it into some generic 27.5″ cruiser.
- A very different alternative to a 29er: This is probably what I like most. If you want a serious wheelie bike but do not necessarily want the biggest wheels possible, the Aspect offers an epic option.
For me, that is what makes the Aspect so interesting.
It takes the premium parts Rixin uses on the District, then wraps them around a fatter, slightly smaller-wheel platform that should ride very differently from the usual 29″ bike-life setup.

3. Why Rixin Went With Huge 3.0″ Tires
Even though there’s a lot of good stuff going on on the Aspect, all I see first thing are the 27.5 x 3.0″ tires.
They are huge.
And they completely change the character of the bike compared with the District 29″.
The extra volume gives the Aspect a more planted ride, with plenty of rubber on the ground when you are working on your mad wheelie combos.
More ground contact, more grip.
That matters because bike-life riding is not only about getting the front wheel up.
You also want the bike to stay calm when you shift your weight, turn, or correct your line.
The wider tires help with that.
I also like the added cushion you get from a 3.0″ tire.
A setup this big should take some of the harshness out of rough pavement, small bumps, and imperfect street surfaces, which is useful on a bike that will probably spend most of its time outside the skatepark.
Keep in mind that because of the extra width, you can also run your tires at a lower PSI if that’s what you prefer.
Of course, there is a trade-off.
Those tires add bulk, and the Aspect is not going to feel as quick or light as a smaller-tire setup.
But I do not think Rixin was chasing that here.

The Aspect keeps the same basic wheelie-focused geometry that Rixin uses on the District, but the 27.5+ wheel-and-tire setup changes the whole package.
Which is interesting, isn’t it?
Honestly, I did expect that the chainstay length would be a little shorter.
Rixin Aspect Frame Geometry

The 17.6″ chainstay is the part I pay the most attention to.
That long rear end is there for a reason.
Rixin says the frame geometry is designed to “lock into wheelies,” and this setup clearly favors stability over quick reactions.
That’s definitely a good thing for wheelie riding.
Once the front wheel is up, you want the bike to stay calm and give you time to make small corrections to your body, pedal, and brakes instead of constantly reacting to a twitchy rear end.
The 71° head tube angle follows the same idea.
It is relaxed enough to keep the front end predictable, while the 30mm fork offset helps maintain that stable steering character.
Then you have the 23.5″ top tube, which gives you a roomy platform to move around on. But even a 23″ TT length would work great for this bike.
That space is useful once you start working on the wild bike-life combos, and will also help you with progression.
What really makes the Aspect interesting, though, is how this geometry works with the 27.5 x 3.0″ tires.
You get the same long, stable rear end as the District, but with a slightly smaller wheel and much more tire volume.
That gives the Aspect a very fixed, controlled character with a tad easier way to pull it up and get the bike into a wheelie.

At first, I thought front and rear hydraulic brakes on a bike-life bike sounded like a bit much.
But the more I look at the Aspect, the more I get why Rixin did it.
The rear brake is obviously the important one for wheelies.
That is the brake you are going to use for balance-point corrections, saving a wheelie when you go too far back, and controlling slower combos.
The Aspect uses Shimano MT200 hydraulic brakes front and rear with 160mm rotors. These give you much more serious braking than a basic mechanical setup.
The rear is the one I care about most.
Hydraulic braking should give you smoother lever action and easier modulation. This is extra handy when you only need a tiny bit of brake instead of a full stop.
But I would not call the front brake pointless either.
The Aspect is not only a one-trick wheelie bike.
With those huge 3.0″ tires and a more versatile 27.5+ setup, I can see riders using it for cruising, urban riding, quick stops, and messing around in situations where having strong braking at both ends is actually useful.
It also means you are getting a more complete bike from day one.
No cheap front brake. No obvious part you want to replace immediately.
Would I buy the Aspect because it has dual hydraulics?
No.
But at $899.99, I am glad they are there.
The rear brake directly helps with wheelie control, while the front makes the bike more capable outside of wheelies.
So no, I do not think it is overkill.

7. Rixin Aspect Bike Life Bike Cons
- $899.99 price: The Aspect is the most expensive of the three Rixin bike-life bikes, so you really need to want the 27.5+ setup, huge tires, and dual hydraulic brakes.
- 3.0″ tires add bulk: The massive tires are one of the Aspect’s biggest strengths, but they also make the bike feel like a lot of bike. If you prefer something quicker and less planted, this setup may not be for you.
- Hi-Ten handlebars: This is one part I would have liked to see upgraded. On a bike that costs almost $900, chromoly bars would have been a nicer fit with the rest of the build.
- Dual hydraulics may be too much for some: The rear hydraulic brake is extremely useful for wheelies. The front brake adds versatility, but not everyone needs it.
- No pegs included: If pegs are part of your setup, you will need to add them separately.

On paper, they are very similar (except for the wheel size).

- Riders who like huge tires: The 3.0″ tires are a huge part of what makes the Aspect what it is. These tires are for you if you want extra grip, cushioning, and a stable ride.
- Bike-life riders who want strong braking at both ends: The dual Shimano hydraulic brakes give the Aspect more versatility than a rear-brake-only wheelie setup.
- Riders working on wheelies, swerves, and combos: The long 17.6″ rear end, high-engagement cassette hub, and hydraulic rear brake all support controlled one-wheel riding.

Conclusion: Is The Rixin Aspect Bike Worth $899?
Of course.
The Rixin Aspect is worth $899.99 if you specifically want what this bike offers.
And that last part is important.
I would not buy the Aspect simply because it is the most expensive Rixin bike-life bike.
I would buy it because I want the 27.5+ wheels, massive 3.0″ tires, dual Shimano hydraulic brakes, aluminum frame, double-wall rims, and high-engagement rear hub.
That combination gives the Aspect a personality that neither the Prospect nor District really has.
For wheelies, the long rear end, hydraulic rear brake, and responsive cassette hub all work in its favor.
Then those huge tires add another layer of grip and cushioning that could be especially nice for swerves, combos, and riding rougher streets.
But if you just want the lightest, cleanest premium Rixin for wheelies, I would probably save $50 and get the District 29″.
The Aspect is the more specific choice.
It is for the rider who looks at those 27.5 x 3.0″ tires and thinks:
“Yup. That is exactly what I want.”
If that is you, then I think the $899.99 price is much easier to justify.
The Aspect is not necessarily the best Rixin for everyone, but it sure is the most interesting one.
