Cult Fast & Loose Tire (2025 Review)

cult fast loose corey walsh tire review

Looking for a BMX tire that’s built to go fast and carve deep?

Then you might just be after the Cult Fast & Loose tire  –  the signature model of speed demon Corey Walsh.

This BMX tire was made with one thing in mind: speed, Speed and some more SPEED.

Pool riding, concrete bowls, full-throttle lines — this is where it shines.

That said, you might want to skip this one if you’re more into cruising at mellow PSI.

But if your goal is to blast through transitions or race down steep bowls like Corey, you’re in the right place.

Let’s dig in.

Cult Fast & Loose (Corey Walsh) Tire Review

1. Build & Features

cult fast loose tire features

The Fast & Loose tire uses the hardest rubber compound in Cult’s lineup.

That means lower rolling resistance, which makes it noticeably quicker on smoother terrain.

The sidewalls are stiff and the tire profile is fast and smooth — perfect for high-speed park or trail riding where you want control, speed, and predictability.

While many BMX tires focus on grip and softness for street tech, this one flips the script. It’s tuned for speed and carving.

You’ll notice it right away when you pump around a bowl or hit the pool coping at full speed.

Another thing to love? Durability.

That harder compound also helps the tire resist flat spots and keep its shape longer — even if you’re running it at full 110 PSI.

Note: Yes, the tire is perfectly capable of handling grinds, too. So, if you run pegs and like the Fast & Loose tire, go for it.

Just keep in mind that it’s not built for lower tire pressure and squishy landings — for that, check out the Cult X Vans tire instead.

Not that you cannot ride the Fast & Loose tire at lower PSI, it just won’t do it’s job as well as it does with higher PSI.

Fun fact: Corey rides anywhere between 60 PSI and 110 PSI.

2. How The Fast & Loose Tire Rides

how cult fast loose tire rides

This thing rips. Period.

If you like to ride fast, boost high, or hit full-speed transfers, the Fast & Loose tire is going to feel amazing.

It rolls incredibly smooth — no drag, no sluggishness.

You’ll notice the harder compound especially when you’re pumping transitions.

Less energy wasted = more speed gained.

Cornering feels stable and responsive, especially on smooth concrete. It holds lines tight and doesn’t feel twitchy (thanks to micro knurling).

But again, this tire shines at higher pressures – if you typically run your tires at 40 – 60 PSI (or lower), you might find it too stiff.

Stick to 85-110 PSI, and you’ll really unlock what this tire is built for.

The sound of high PSI tires ripping a bowl at insane speed is music to my ears.

And I’m pretty sure you know what I’m talking about.
