But all the others I added to the list are almost equally high-quality, ensuring there’s something for everyone.

1. DK Vega SS 22″ BMX Bike (!)
The DK Vega SS 22” BMX bike is a pro-level complete built around that sweet-spot 22” wheel size, so you get more stability than a 20” without losing that fun BMX feel.
The frame is 100% full chromoly with double-butted and tapered tubes, plus an offset eclipse downtube that’s made to handle real abuse.
Up front, you get the DK Phase chromoly fork with a 1-piece CNC steerer and an internally threaded preload bolt, so the front end stays clean and solid.
DK didn’t cheap out on the cockpit either, with 9” rise Phase bars and a Chamberlain top load stem with a 53mm reach. The stem’s extra length gives the bike even more stability.

Brakes are there when you want them, with an alloy U-brake and a 2-finger lever, plus removable seatstay mounts if you ever go brakeless.
But if you ride brakeless like me, just get rid of them.
The bike also comes with integrated chain tensioners, which makes keeping the wheel straight and the chain tight way easier. I miss that on my current GT Fueler 22 bike.
It isn’t gyro-drilled, so it’s not meant for full barspin brake setups unless you get creative.
Overall, the Vega SS feels like a “custom build” spec list in a complete bike package, especially in this 22” size.
