Nathan Williams Bike Check [Kink] 2025

nathan williams bike check

Welcome to the Nathan Williams bike check!

Let’s take a deep dive into what the king of switch is riding these days.

Because, honestly, there has to be something about his setup that helps keep his riding on another level, right?

Or maybe… Nathan is just THAT GOOD.

Nathan reps Kink and Cinema, rolling on his signature street frame, bars, and tires – designed for tech precision and all-around destruction.

He also likes to trim his bars and cut his steerer tube to dial in his front-end feel.

Fun fact: Nathan is super picky about his bar/stem setup. Every millimeter counts!

Check out his full parts list below.

2023 Bike Check

Source BMX Bike Check (2022)

Here’s a pretty insightful video bike check with Van Homan questioning Nathan to reveal his setup’s ins and outs.

The whip is built from Cinema and Kink parts with signature products from Corey Martinez, Dakota Roche, Garrett Reynolds and, of course, Nathan.

Nathan rides a 21.25″ frame because of the shorter rear end (to balance it out), although he stretches the back wheel as far out as possible. He doesn’t like his bike too twitchy and loopy.

Also, the corduroy seat and the 4 piece handlebar give the bike a more classic look.

RAD!

2022 Bike Check

Dig Setups (2022)

Nathan climbed on a rooftop somewhere in New York to get a bike check done for DIG’s Setups series.

You can take a peek at his signature Kink Williams frame in 21.25″ top tube length with prototype 4-piece Kink handlebars.

Nathan also shows you his signature Kink Williams seat that features the awesome corduroy fabric and comes in black and brown.

Lastly, he also reveals the up-and-coming Cinema rear freecoaster hub that’s coming soon.

It looks and runs like a cassette hub, with instant engagement, but it’s still a freecoaster. (Something that’s becoming increasingly popular in the freecoaster space.)

Dig (2020)

In 2020, Nathan was on Kink for a year and already had his signature Williams frame. This is the trans blue edition in 21″ TT with black parts and it looks RAD.

Nathan also says in the interview that he’s pretty picky about his bars and stem. Moreover, he usually cuts his bar and fork steerer tube but runs all the rest out-of-the-box.

Check the entire parts list, full interview and many cool bike shots on Dig.

Ride BMX (2017)

For me, Nathan always has a dialed bike setup.

This one is especially dope because – yes – it’s black with the excellent United Supreme seat detail.

(You know I like black πŸ™‚ )

Moreover, Nathan also mentions that he’s switching between 20.5″ and 21″ TT frames, depending on how he feels. (Shorter frame = more responsive, longer frame = more stable.)

Plus, he likes the front-end low (but not too low!), his chain tight (so it doesn’t make any noise) and his tires at around 30-40 PSI (wrist-friendly & feels kinda springy).

Ride UK (2011)

This one goes all the way back to 2011 when I was getting bigger and bigger Williams fan. I still am, though!

He had his signature United Mothership frame and bar combo with his signature United Nash cranks sample (which weren’t out yet at the time).

And that “rusty brown” color looks really awesome. Hit up Ride UK for more.
